We are committed to maximizing the positive impact we can have in the communities we work in.
Gilbert-Ash has been working in partnership for several years with the Adsum Foundation and the Madagascar Development Fund with the goal of investing money in people and communities in the developing world. As a company we have undertaken different fundraising activities to help provide clean drinking water and build schools for communities in Madagascar.
"Gilbert-Ash has continued to support the work we do here at the Adsum Foundation enabling us to focus on delivering sustainable projects that significantly improve the quality of life for those living in poor communities in Madagascar.”
Gavin Lonergan, Adsum Foundation
Gilbert-Ash registers projects with the Considerate Constructors Scheme as we recognize we have a responsibility to improve the image of the industry across all communities where we are working. We achieved an average score of 40 / 50 across all projects in 2018/19.
Gilbert-Ash is committed to maximizing the positive impact we can have in the communities we work in. This includes providing opportunities for apprenticeships, placements and the long-term unemployed. We recognize that these opportunities will have a long-lasting positive legacy by providing individuals with the tools and experience to continue to build a career within the construction industry. We partner with a range of employment, education, voluntary and public sector organizations right across the UK to strengthen our links within the community.
We work hard to identify local supply chain opportunities to maximize the positive economic impact we can have during our time on site. Through our website, social media outlets and meet the buyer events, we continue to build collaborative relationships with new supply chain partners as we recognize the value this adds to our business.
We continue to support local initiatives and encourage our employees and supply chain to actively participate within their local community.
